February 8, 2008:  The Bolton Fire District took delivery on a new Pierce Dash Pumper Tanker.  It was purchased from Tyler Fire Equipment of Elmira New York.  It has a 6 man cab, 1,500 gallon per minute pump and 3,000 gallon water tank .  Please visit our apparatus section and see "Engine 336"

August 4, 2007:  The Bolton Fire District took delivery on a new Pierce Contender Initial Attack/Water Supply Engine.  It was purchased from Tyler Fire Equipment of Elmira New York.  It is a 4 wheel drive Ford F550 chassis with a Hale 750 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank, 30 gallon foam tank and CAFS.  Please visit our apparatus section and see "Engine 338"

June 20, 2007:  The Bolton Fire District and Bolton Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. jointly purchased 5 new Defibrillators.  These units are Phillips Heartstart FR2+ and were placed in all of the line officers vehicles. 

April 5, 2007:  The annual election of the Fire Company was held, the following are the officers for 2007-2008: Chief-Robert S. "Butch" LaGoy, 1st Asst Chief-Philip W. Staats, 2nd Asst Chief-Stephen P. Baker, 3rd Asst Chief-Jeremy T. Coon, 4th Asst Chief-Richard J. Gollhofer, President-Warren R. Thomas, Vice President-James W. White, Director-Guenter Roessler, Director-Erich Neuffer, Director-John J. Cushing, Secretary-Curtis A. Truax Jr., Treasurer-Gregory J. Bolton.

November 9, 2006:  By a majority vote of the members of the Fire Company, Deputy Fire Coordinator Robert M. Moon of the Warren County Bureau of Fire was made an honorary member of the Company.  This was to honor Bob for his 46 years of service as Deputy Coordinator and 60 plus years in the fire service.  Bob will be stepping down in January as deputy coordinator and will be greatly missed.

November 2, 2006:  A message to all residents:  Effective this date the siren at the fire station will be taken out of service.  Due to the modernization of alerting equipment over the last 20 years, the siren is not as vital as it used to be.

October 25, 2006:  The Bolton Fire District held a special referendum vote to institute a Length of Service Awards (LOSAP) program for firefighters in the town of Bolton.  The vote passed with an overwhelming majority!!!  Thank you to all of the residents that supported us!

May 7, 2005:  The Bolton Volunteer Fire Company had its annual banquet and installation of officers at the Georgian Resort in Lake George.  Corporate Officers for the Coming year are:  Warren R. Thomas - President, Ross S. French - Vice President, Curtis A. Truax Jr. - Secretary, H. Robert Schielke - Treasurer, and Directors, John J. Cushing, Richard J. Gollhofer, and James W. White.  Line Officers for the coming year:  Chief - Robert S. "Butch" LaGoy, 1st. Asst. - Philip W. Staats, Stephen P. Baker - 2nd Asst., Jeremy T. Coon - 3rd Asst., Theodore H. Goutos - 4th Asst., Richard J. Gollhofer - Lieutenant, and Guenter Roessler - Fire Police Captain.  The Fire Company welcomed new members McGuire Bennett and Ann Austin.  Service Awards were also presented at the banquet, those included:  5 years of service: Paul B. Brown and Shawn C. Perry, 15 Years of service: Robert S. "Butch" LaGoy, 20 years of service: Theodore H. Goutos, and 25 years of service: William C. Thomson.  Also presented was a plaque in appreciation for service as President of the Fire Company from 2001-2005 to Steven DeLorenzo.  Also presented were top responder and top training awards for 2004-2005.  The top responders for the year were Paul J. Gollhofer, Warren G. Kuhle and Dean K. Fisher.  Top in training for 2004-2005 were John J. Cushing, Dean K. Fisher and Douglas J. Dittrich Sr.

The Fire District Commissioners were introduced, they are:  Chairman - Donald J. Volkmann, Dep. Chairman - Richard J. Kober, Commissioner - Harvey J. Coon, Commissioner - Wesley C. Huck Jr., Commissioner - Ross S. French, and Secretary/Treasurer - Curtis A. Truax Jr.

The Ladies Auxiliary announced their 2005 Officers, they are:  President - Cheryl M. Snyder, Vice President - Carol E. Persons, Secretary - Susan C. Ferdinand, Treasurer - Deanna L. Roberts and Chaplain - Kathleen L. Spahn.  The ladies also had a 10 year member this year, Deanna L. Roberts.

The Emergency Squad introduced the officers for 2005, they are:  Captain - Peter T. French, 1st Lt - Ann "Missy" Cady, 2nd Lt. - Shawn C. Perry, Secretary - Linda L. Frazier, Treasurer -  Doreen R. Brown, 1st Aid Officer - Ilse Petermann, and Communications Officer - Steven DeLorenzo.  The Emergency Squad welcomed new member Ann Austin.  They also announced the completion of training for members including, new EMT-D's - Buddy Curren and Linda Frazier and Intermediate ALS tech - Missy Cady.  The Emergency squad also gave out 2 awards for past service.  One to past treasurer Gene Zielinski and one to past Lieutenant H. Robert Schielke.

April 6, 2005:  The Bolton Fire District took delivery on a used rescue boat from the Warren County Sheriff.  The boat, an 18 foot fiberglass Robalo with an Evinrude outboard will be used to enhance our capabilities on Lake George during the busy boating season.  Pictures of the new boat to come soon in our apparatus pages, look for Marine Rescue 38...

April 23, 2004:  The Bolton Fire District tool delivery of new Self Contained Breathing Appratus and F.A.S.T. Team equipment from B-Lann Equipment in Troy, NY.  The new units are Scott "Pak 50" 4500 psi high pressure units with AV 3000 masks, automatic PASS alarms, and electronic voice mitters.  All of the equipment has been installed on our apparatus and in service training is being completed.

December 5, 2003:  The Bolton Fire District was awared a grant totaling $95,076.00 from FEMA under the 2003 F.I.R.E. act.  The grant will be used to purchase new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and F.A.S.T. July 10, 2003: Postmaster Cheryl Inglis of the Bolton branch of the Post Office presented the company with a framed print of the September 11 commemorative stamp.  The print depicts 3 firefighters raising the US flag over the rubble of the World Trade Center.  Pictured below is Company President Steven DeLorenzo recieving the print from Cheryl.

May 22, 2003: The fire company just took delivery and placed into service 2 new Defibrillators.  These are placed on Engine 335 and Rescue 136.  Firefighters are trained to use this equipment during CPR certification enabling rapid defibrillation (shock) of sudden cardiac arrest.  The units were purchased with a very generous contribution from a family in the town.   Thank You!!!
